Greetings!
My name is Matt Hilbert and I’m the proud principal of Warder Elementary School. I have 16 years in education including serving as a high school science teacher, K-8 assistant principal, and building principal. This is the beginning of my sixth year at Warder, and eighth year as a building principal. Prior to my tenure at Warder, I had the privilege of serving as the principal at Peck Elementary, assistant principal at Arvada K-8, and science teacher at Arvada High School. I am married to another Jeffco educator and have one child, Liam, who is currently a Jeffco third grader.
I am so fortunate to be part of an incredible school community here at Warder. Our teachers and staff are some of the most talented and dedicated individuals with whom I’ve had the opportunity to work. Further, I cannot say enough about the caliber of our students and families. Warder is a community unlike any other, with a focus on academic achievement, value of community, and passion for the whole child.
